At 1930hrs Boston Fire struck Box 2168 for 102 Harrishof St in the Roxbury section of the city. First arriving companies found heavy fire on the third floor and through the roof, a 2nd alarm was sounded in quick succession and a 3rd within 15 minutes. Companies had difficult access to the fire initially and eventually had the fire darkened down within an hour. Temperature at the time of the fire was 27 degrees, the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit on the third floor and damage is estimated to be in the neighborhood of $400,000. There were no injuries to civilians but three Boston Jakes were transported w/ minor injuries.
